I’ve probably rediscovered this album more than anything else I’ve ever listened to. It’s my favourite album by the original Alice Cooper group, although maybe it’s time to rediscover Love it to Death and Killer. Obviously everyone knows the title track, but like most rock singles generally the album material is the more compelling material.
The best CD version is the Audio Fidelity gold CD. The thing which really sticks out is how great this band was, particularly Dennis Dunway’s bass. As much as I love Welcome to my Nightmare and some of the albums that followed it’s pretty obvious that a lot of chemistry was lost after those band changes.
