Review# 343"Lay down your soul to the gods rock and roll!" - that is pretty much the essence of Venom's Black Metal. While it leans toward the cheesy/tongue and cheek side of things both the album and Venom are huge influences on thrash, metal and black metal (this is long held to be where the scene got the name). This is a highly enjoyable album, it's good fun and it doesn't just cover satanic and of out themes... There is also a song about having sex with his teacher.
