Review# 318(Yoko) Oh-no. As usual Joshs's picks for me make for interesting listening. I was a little prepared for this from routine fun making of Yoko saying “why” at work, but this is my first listen to her in all her... glory?
The first 14:92 min is in deed Yoko warbling “Why” over and over... written phonetically it would be “Whhhyyyyyiiiiiiiwwwhhyyiiyi whhiii whyyiiiyyiiy whyyyyywhhhhyyiwwwhyyy”. Its bollocks. And also imaginatively titled Why and Why Not.
AOS sounds far to close to a Yoko climax... although when she starts screeching “Ack” over and over again... well it's more than a little disturbing and more information than I care to know.
Overall, the music is boring and the vocals are irritating and sometimes sound like a boiling kettle. The best thing about the album is the reinforced desire to make fun of Yoko's vocal style. But the album itself is fucken terrible.
