Ministry – Greatest Fits

Review# 307

This is the first Ministry album I ever brought and 6 or 7, years ago when all I knew of Ministry was Stigmata and Jesus Built My Hotrod, this was probably the best way I could have gotten into any band with an extensive back catalogue. There is a really good mix of tracks, from The Land Of Rape And Honey right through to Dark Side Of The Spoon. Unfortunately there is nothing from Twitch, which is a favourite of mine, but then the direction on that album is a lot different to everything that came after and probably didn't have the hits like the the rest. The 1000 Homo Djs (essentially Ministry) cover of Black Sabbath's Supernaught also makes an appearance. Greatest Fits is a good mix of Ministry's most popular tracks and is a great place to start if you know little about them.
