Review# 194
Amplifier Worship lives up to it's name. It may have some vocals, drums, wavedrums and an EBow but the album is really about the bass and more importantly (in this case) the electric guitar. The album is full of fuzz and sludge and drone and somewhat twisted tormented vocals. The sound ebbs and flows, sometimes it's almost non-existent then slowly in creeps a sustained note fully of fuzz. The general tone of the album is great, right from the subtle elements through to twisted vocals. If possible track down the 2003 Southern Lord release... It has a gummy worm in the spine of the album case.
