Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral

Review# 165

Trent Reznor can spit out some nicely vehement lines in an amazingly spiteful voice when he has a mind to. The Downward Spiral is an album jam-packed with these events. Easily one of the best things he has put his name on, the music is essentially a vessel for his voice which nestles nicely among the musical folds and rides the tide of sound. Trent has an amazing voice with a fantastic dynamic range that can surprise the unwary.
I would really loved to have seen NIN with this much passion live, unfortunately it was a bit of a buzz kill that I am still recovering from. Oh well, it's good to crank this out again after a bit of shelf time.
