This is a great jazz album. It’s not as ‘heavy’ as, say, Coltrane (although Sonny comes kind of close to it live) and there is something of a bounciness to it characteristic of bebop from this era. The current master is fine, there’s an Analogue Productions version which is probably beautiful. Listen to it because I don’t really feel like writing.
