Review# 31
So yes I picked this album because I love the opening track Vodka and that's what I want to listen to at 10pm on this particular night, not because I want to drink, just because I want to listen to something fun. And I mean who could not love that track?! For the uninitiated, Korpiklaani (translates to forest clan) are essentially a Finnish Folk Metal band who love to sing a bout drinking and forests and partying and drinking. They are lots of fun and you really cannot help but feel happy while listening to them... The album title translates to party so that just proves that that is the point!
There are only two songs sung in English on this album, Vodka and Bring Us Pints Of Beer (If You Don't Drink You Can Leave), the rest are in Finnish but this does not lose any of the fun atmosphere of the album in fact it seems to add something to it. Finnish is quite an interesting language to listen to and even more fun to try and pronounce (Mettaanpeiton Valtiaalle or Eraamaan Aarjyt anyone?) so I recommend with this album to get your mates around and get some booze in ya then attempt a sing along... please send me the videos of how that goes too!
