Slayer – God Hates Us All

Review# 46
Slayer are one are a band that you know what you are going to get before you even press play. You know that no matter what you will get a slayer album every time. This isn’t a bad thing either, Slayer do Slayer very well. They know what they are and what they are capable of, and it isn’t Jungle for example (though I hear Dave Lombardo has a Jungle side project). God Hates Us All is a strong brutal album that focuses on anti religious themes predominantly... But that is obvious from the title so no surprises. There isn’t really anything here that completely surprises me, it is a clean sounding album production wise but Tom Araya's vocals are still aggressive enough for that not to be too much of a bother. Two of my favourite Slayer tracks are on this album, Disciple and Bloodline, the rest of the album is solid for the most part too. This album is classic Slayer and its full of good tracks to get your head bang on too!

  1. I've never been able to make it past track 4 or so, the rest of the album was really kind of boring past that bit.
